Organizer's Announcement Regarding Coronavirus

Attendees of the Fifth International Itasca Symposium (Feb. 17-21, 2020),

We look forward to seeing everyone next week at our symposium. We’d like to share a few of the actions we’re taking in light of the novel coronavirus health issue:

  • Monitoring the WHO website for the most recent information. Please see this site for advice to travelers:
  • Contacted the University Health, Safety and Security Department for guidance on responsible guidelines for our meeting. We’ll distribute sanitizer in various locations around the venue, and expect to have posted guidelines on precautions.

We also note that currently registered participants from mainland China, South Korea and Taiwan have voluntarily decided not to attend the symposium.

See you next week in Vienna,

The Organizing Committee.

The Fifth International Itasca Symposium will be held at the University of Vienna (Austria) February 17-20, 2020. The Symposium will feature topics and discussion covering the application of Itasca software for solving engineering and scientific challenges in geomechanics, hydrogeology, microseismicity, and more. We look forward to seeing you in Vienna!
